At our April 2010 meeting the committee agreed the following applications for funds:
Invicta EBP
A grant of £2,500 was approved for the Safety In Action - North West Kent 2010 event
Kent Crimestoppers
A grant of £1,500 was approved for their anonymous texting project
Kenward Trust
A small grant of £500 was approved to assist with the refurbishment of the garden area at The Lighthouse project
Kent County Neighbourhood Watch Association
A grant of £1,00 was approved to support their planned Your Neighbourhood event
Ashford Borough Football Youth Team
A small grant of £300 was approved to assist in the purcahse of training kits
New Shoes Theatre Company
A grant of £2,200 was approved to support the Hurried Steps theatre production to raise awareness of the issues surrounding domestic violence
New Romney Counselling Services
A grant of £2,500 was approved to support their work with clients who are affected by domestic violence / sexual abuse
West Kent YMCA
A grant of £2,500 was approved towards their Get on Board project.
